The new North Fulton Service Center is open for business following a hugely successful 3 ½ month renovation that expands services.  Chief among them is the new integrated care Health Center jointly operated by Fulton County Health Services and the Grady Health System.  The Health Center offers primary care, behavioral health, dental, and immunization services.  It’s open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.  In addition to health 2010webphoto2services, there are health-related components—a community garden, farmers’ market and nearby walking trails at the Big Trees Forest Preserve.  There’s a new library reading room, employment and housing services, a computer lab and a child care center for parents who are receiving services in the Center.

Government services traditionally provided at the Service Center remain on the premises.  There are Magistrate and State Court, Probate and Superior Court offices, property tax and vehicle registration services, and meeting rooms for community events.

A dedication/ribbon-cutting ceremony kicks off a huge celebration of the re-opening Saturday, July 31st at 11:00 a.m.  A health fair, featuring a healthy lunch and snacks, interactivities for children and adults and tours of the new building begins at noon.  The celebration ends at 4:00 p.m.

The North Fulton Service Center is the second “one-stop-shop” center opened since Fulton County launched its Common Ground initiative to reduce health disparities in 2009.  Click Here for information on Common Ground.
